Twixtmas trail running from Ban de la Roche

This is my favourite trail run from Ban de la Roche. You start off at the house, turn right out of the drive, run along the road for a couple of hundred metres, before taking the trail in the woods marked 'Cascade d'Angon'. Instead of stopping at the waterfall (which is a lovely walk by the way), you carry on following signs for the 'Pont des Fees'. This means Fairy Bridge - the photos may give you a clue why! You can then loop back through the village of Verel, before descending through the woods again to Talloires. I took these photos on December 29th when I was blowing away the cobwebs after a bit too much genepi the night before!
